So you have decided to be water baptized . . . good decision.
What is Water Baptism?
It is identification with Christ Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection as described in the scriptures.
Why be water baptized?
Baptism is a commandment of Jesus Christ and demonstrates that you have repented and received Him as Lord and Savior of your life.
A command of Jesus Matthew 28:19 NLT, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Baptized by Phillip
Acts 8:36-38 NLT, “As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look! There's some water! Why can't I be baptized?" 38 He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.”
Baptism says to the world publicly, “I have died with Christ” (lowering into the water), “been buried with Christ” (under the water), and “been resurrected with Christ” (out of the water) to a new life with Him.
